Continuing Education

To maintain certification, the CCA must earn 40 hours of continuing education units (CEUs) every two years; 20 of these must be pre-approved by the RMCCA board, while a maximum of another 20 can be self-reported conferences, field days, courses, etc. Five credits in each of the following areas are required during this two year period: Nutrient Management, Soil and Water Management, Crop Management, and Pest Management. Up to five credits are allowed in Professional Development. The program has averaged a 94% renewal rate.

Self-study exams can be taken online by going to: https://www.certifiedcropadviser.org/education/classroom. The RM Extension documents and self-study exams, which have been approved for NM and SWM CEUs, are near the bottom of that page.
